Errors cost Indians the game against Yakima
SPOKANE -- A number of throwing errors hurt the Spokane Indians on Saturday as they dropped a sloppy game to the Yakima Bears by a score of 5-2.

A pair of throwing errors by Spokane's Denny Duron allowed the Bears to score two runs in the second inning to take an early 2-0 lead.

Spokane's Jared Prince kept the Indians in the game when he blasted a two-out, two-run home run to left center field to tie things up at two a piece. The homer was Princes' sixth of the season.

Yakima jumped back on top in the fifth inning on yet another Indian throwing error, this one at the hands of Alberto Puello, allowing Roberto Rodriguez to score.

The Bears added two more runs in the eighth inning to bring the final score to 5-2.

Spokane's Ben Henry tossed for four and one-third innings, allowing four hits and three unearned runs and for the loss.

Yakima starter Dan Taylor picked up the win while allowing two runs in five innings with seven strikeouts. Brian Budrow's two perfect innings in relief earned him the save.

The Bears and the Indians will be back at it Sunday night for Spokane's season finale at 6:35 p.m. at Avista Stadium.
