SEATTLE -- For the second night in a row, the Spokane Chiefs scored four goals. For the second night in a row, that was more than enough to get the win as the Chiefs beat Seattle 4-1 on Saturday night. The Chiefs scored the first three goals of the game. Blake Gal's ninth of the season gave the visitors the 1-0 lead just 14 seconds into the game. Kyle Beach's 50th goal of the season came later in the first, and proved to be the game winner. Tyler Johnson scored to make it 3-0 in the third, then after Seattle got on the board, Beach scored an empty netter to provide the final margin. James Reid was stellar once again in net for the Chiefs, stopping 19 of 20 shots. The win moves Spokane within four points of the U.S. Division and Western Conference lead as Tri-City lost 6-3 to Portland. The Chiefs and Americans play twice in the final four games of the season. The Chiefs play Everett once, the Silvertips are now tied atop the standings with the Americans.
