Babineaux officially released, Jones still a Seahawk
The shuffling of Seattle's roster continued on Monday when the team formally released safety Jordan Babineaux, fullback Owen Schmitt and defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson. Running back Julius Jones remains with the team.

Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter's 4 touchdowns and 257 yards rushing were too much for the Washington State Cougars to handle in a 65-17 season opening loss Saturday night.
Huskies drop opener at BYU
Riley Nelson threw for two touchdowns in his first start in four years and BYU's defense shut out Washington in the second half as the Cougars won 23-17 on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.
